Annie Henderson Wood was a charter member of Rho Eta Omega Chapter. Professionally she was employed by the Richmond Public Schools where she worked as a Media Specialist. Through this career, she dedicated her life to educating youngsters and encouraging them to learn to read and enjoy it. Wood was an inspiration and a role model for all her students, inspiring them to reach their highest potential.

As a member she was extremely dedicated and enthusiastically supported the community service projects and other activities of REO. It was only fitting for Rho Eta Omega to establish a scholarship in her name: The Annie Henderson Wood Memorial Scholarship.
